com_postrider is the free, GPL-licensed Joomla component that connects your site to your Postrider account — member sync, list mapping, and the member-facing preference centre. It's optional: if your members live somewhere other than Joomla, use CSV import on any list instead and skip this entirely.

Requirements

  • Joomla 5.4 or later
  • PHP 8.1 or later
  • An active Postrider account — see licensing & pricing if you don't have one yet

Installing

  1. In Joomla, go to System → Manage → Extensions, then Upload Package File and select the zip above.
  2. Once installed, open the component's Options and set your API base URL, API key, and tenant slug — these come from your Postrider account under Settings → Joomla component.
  3. Map at least one list to a Joomla group or member field so subscribers actually sync — see setting up sync in the docs.

Joomla's own extension update check will notify you in Joomla when a new version is published — no need to check back here manually once installed.

  • 0.4.21 — 22/08/2026 — JED-readiness fixes: LICENSE.txt now shipped (was missing despite manifests referencing it), script.php now correctly packaged in the component zip (previously missing from the published release), package-level language file so PKG_POSTRIDER resolves to a real name, and correct author email/URL (admin@postrider.uk / https://postrider.uk) across all four manifests.
  • 0.4.20 — 20/08/2026 — Fixes onUserAfterSave TypeError on user-group saves; adds Joomla native update-check (updateservers).
